NHL: Tampa Bay 5, Phoenix 3

PHOENIX, Feb. 13 (UPI) -- Vinny Lecavalier scored two goals and Brad Richards had the game-winner Tuesday night as surging Tampa Bay topped Phoenix 5-3.

Richards' 20th goal of the season broke a 3-3 tie 1:24 into the third period and held up the rest of the way as the Lightning won for the sixth time in its last seven games and pulled to within three points of division leader Atlanta.

Marty St. Louis had a goal and two assists for Tampa Bay while Eric Perrin chipped in the other goal.

Phoenix had goals from Derrick Morris, Oleg Saprykin and Michael Zigomani but lost its third in a row and sixth straight against Tampa Bay.
