NHL: Vancouver 3, Atlanta 2

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Feb. 11 (UPI) -- Brendan Morrison scored twice and Roberto Luongo made 27 saves Saturday night as the Vancouver Canucks beat the Atlanta Thrashers, 3-2.

Markus Naslund scored and Trevor Linden had two assists for the Canucks, who won for the third time in their last four games.

Jon Sim and Ilya Kovalchuk scored, and Kari Lehtonen posted 30 saves for the Thrashers, who lost for the fourth time in their last five games.

Morrison scored what turned out to be the game-winning goal at 9:12 of the second -- just 10 seconds after Naslund put Vancouver up, 2-0, with his 18th goal of the season.

The Thrashers cut it to 3-2 with 5:29 left to play, scoring on a two-man advantage.
