EDMONTON, Alberta, Feb. 11 (UPI) -- Ryan Smyth, Marc-Andre Bergeron, Marc Pouliot, Joffrey Lupul and Raffi Torres scored Sunday night as the Edmonton Oilers beat Atlanta, 5-1.
Ales Hemsky and Petr Sykora each had two assists and Dwayne Roloson made 29 stops for the Oilers, who won their second straight game and their fourth out of six.
Eric Belanger -- who went to Atlanta from Nashville Friday, one day after the Predators acquired him from Carolina -- scored the only goal for the Thrashers. Johan Hedberg allowed five goals -- all of them unanswered -- on 32 shots for Atlanta, which lost for the fifth time in its last six games.
Atlanta scored at 5:15 of the first period, but Edmonton got the equalizer at 9:40 when Smyth scored a power-play goal on a feed from Shawn Horcoff.
The Oilers scored three in the second to put the game away.
