KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, Feb. 11 (UPI) -- Peter Hedblom of Sweden shot 4-under 68 Sunday to win the European Tour's Malaysian Open Golf Tournament in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Hedblom finished at 8-under 280, to beat Jean-Francois Lucquin (67) of France by one-shot. Lucquin had vaulted to the lead with a birdie at 17, but made a bogey on the last hole of the tournament to close at 7-under 281.

"This is unbelievable," Hedblom said of his second win on the European Tour.

His other title came at the 1996 Moroccan Open. He also has won once on the European Challenge Tour.

Spain's Ignacio Garrido (69) and England's Simon Dyson (70) tied for third at 6-under 282. Overnight co-leader Marcus Higley (74) shared fifth with England's Gary Lockerbie (70) at 5-under 283.

Higley's co-leader from the third round, Argentina's Ricardo Gonzalez, shot 4-over 76 Sunday and tied for 11th at 3-under 285.
