INDIANAPOLIS, Feb. 7 (UPI) -- Three Indiana Pacers players have denied being involved in an off-court incident after Monday night's 113-98 loss to Golden State.
The Indianapolis Star reported Wednesday that a police report identified Jamaal Tinsley, Keith McLeod and Marquis Daniels as scuffling with night club manager Mark Nicholson.
"We are aware of an incident Monday night after the Golden State game allegedly involving members of the Indiana Pacers," team President and CEO Donnie Walsh said in a statement on the team's Web site. "At this time, the incident is under police investigation and until the investigation is completed, we have no further comment."
"I had nothing to do with this," said Tinsley. "I'm extremely upset that my name has been associated with this."
The Pacers tried recently to improve their image by trading away guard Stephen Jackson, who was involved in a number of off-court incidents before he was dealt to the Warriors.
