DELRAY BEACH, Fla., Feb. 5 (UPI) -- Third-seeded Belgian Xavier Malisse beat top-seeded American James Blake Monday morning to win the $380,000 Delray Beach International Tennis Championships.

Blake was leading the final 7-5, 3-3 on Sunday when rain forced the completion of the match to be suspended until Monday morning.

Malisse, the 2005 Delray Beach champion and 2006 runner-up, wound up with a 5-7, 6-4, 6-4 victory. He was runner-up last year to German Tommy Haas.

When play resumed Monday, Malisse broke Blake in the first game and quickly closed out the second set. The Belgian then broke Blake in the third game of the final set.

Malisse had eight aces and broke Blake's serve three times in the 2-hour, 5-minute final. Blake committed four double faults.
