NHL: Montreal 4, Pittsburgh 3 (OT)

MONTREAL, Feb. 4 (UPI) -- Sheldon Souray's goal at 2:01 of overtime Sunday afternoon lifted the Montreal Canadiens past Pittsburgh, 4-3, breaking the Penguins' six-game winning streak.

Pittsburgh's Michel Ouellet scored at 17:26 of the third period to knot the score at 3-3 and send it into the extra session.

Tomas Plekanec had two goals and one assist, Mark Streit scored a goal, Souray and Alex Kovalev both had two assists, and David Aebischer stopped 31 of 34 shots for the Canadiens, who have split their last four games.

Ryan Whitney had a goal and an assist, Ouellet and Jordan Staal both scored once, Sidney Crosby had two assists, and Marc-Andre Fleury made 25 saves on 29 shots for the Penguins, whose last loss was 5-4 in overtime at Boston Jan. 18.

Pittsburgh scored four times on eight power-play chances, while Montreal converted both of its opportunities.
