Ernie Els leads at Dubai

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, Feb. 3 (UPI) -- Ernie Els closed with back-to-back birdies Saturday and is the leader after three rounds at the Dubai Desert Classic in the United Arab Emirates.

The native of South Africa shot 4-under 68 to take a 17-under 199 into Sunday's fourth round.

"We have a great leader board," Els said. "But it is important to play your own game and concentrate on what you have to do. I have a good game plan."

First-round leader Ross Fisher of England (71) is tied with India's Jyoti Randhawa (67) and defending champion Henrik Stenson (69) of Sweden for second place at 15-under 201.

World No. 1 Tiger Woods of the United States in fifth at 14-under 202. Woods shot 5-under 67 Saturday and is three shots back.
