COL BKB: Alabama 64, South Carolina 61

TUSCALOOSA, Ala., Feb. 3 (UPI) -- Mykal Riley scored 14 of his 15 points in the second half Saturday as the 20th-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide nipped the South Carolina Gamecocks, 64-61.

Richard Hendrix added 14 points and 15 rebounds for the Crimson Tide (17-5, 4-4 SEC). Alonzo Gee had 12 points and Jermareo Davidson nine points and 10 rebounds for Alabama.

Bryce Sheldon scored 17 points for the Gamecocks (12-9, 2-6), who have lost seven of their last nine. games.

Tre' Kelley scored 14 points, and Brandon Wallace had 11 rebounds and scored nine points for South Carolina.

The Gamecocks had the ball with 18 seconds left, trailing 61-58, but threw the ball away.
