SAN JOSE, Calif., Feb. 2 (UPI) -- Joel Lundqvist had a goal and an assist Thursday night as the Dallas Stars beat San Jose, 4-2.

Krys Barch, Stu Barnes and Jere Lehtinen also scored, and Marty Turco had 18 saves for the Stars, who won for the fifth time in their last seven games.

Mark Bell and Patrick Marleau scored for San Jose. Starting goalie Evgeni Nabokov was pulled after giving up two goals on eight shots in the first period, and Vesa Toskala went the rest of the way -- also giving up two goals on eight shots -- as the Sharks lost their third straight game.

Dallas opened the scoring just 44 seconds into the first period when Lundqvist scored his second goal of the season. The Sharks got the equalizer 33 seconds later on Bell's seventh goal of the campaign.

Barnes scored off a feed from Jeff Halpern with 4:44 left in the first to give Dallas a 2-1 lead after one period.

The Stars scored what turned out to be the winning goal at 7:32 of the second when Lehtinen sent a pass in front of the goal that caromed off a Sharks' stick and into the goal.
