ORLANDO, Fla., Feb. 2 (UPI) -- Hedo Turkoglu scored a team-high 22 points Friday night as the Orlando Magic blasted the New Jersey Nets, 119-86.
Orlando steadily increased a 29-15 first-quarter lead to 59-37 at the break, and had an 88-59 advantage through three quarters.
Dwight Howard had 19 points and nine rebounds, and reserve Darko Milicic scored 14 points. J.J. Redick had 13 points, four rebounds and two assists; Jameer Nelson 12 points, five rebounds and four assists; Tony Battie had 11 points and 11 rebounds; and Carlos Arroyo scored 10 points for the Magic, have back-to-back wins following a three-game skid.
Vince Carter led the Nets with 25 points and three rebounds, and Eddie House had 12 points and two assists. Mikki Moore had 11 points and three rebounds, and Jason Kidd was held scoreless for the Nets, who lost for the fifth time in their last seven games.
