COL BKB: Alabama 73, LSU 70

BATON ROUGE, La., Feb. 1 (UPI) -- Jermareo Davidson scored a game-high 31 points Wednesday night to help 20th-ranked Alabama rallied past LSU, 73-70.

Alabama trailed, 38-34, at the half, but took the lead, 69-68, with 45 seconds left on two free throws each by Davidson and Mykal Riley.

Richard Hendrix had 13 points, five rebounds, and two assists; Riley had 12 points and three rebounds; and Alonzo Gee scored 11 points for the Crimson Tide (16-5, 3-4 SEC), who had lost their previous two games.

Glen "Big Baby" Davis led LSU with 15 points, four rebounds, and six assists.

Tasmin Mitchell had 14 points and three rebounds; and Chris Johnson scored 13 points for the Tigers (13-8, 2-5), who suffered their fourth straight loss.

LSU was without LSU forward Tack Minor, who is no longer enrolled at the school.
