NHL: Detroit 4, N.Y.Islanders 3 (OT)

UNIONDALE, N.Y., Jan. 30 (UPI) -- Henrik Zetterberg scored 2:57 into overtime Tuesday as Detroit overcame a three-goal, third-period deficit to beat the New York Islanders, 4-3.

Nicklas Lidstrom had a goal and two assists for Detroit, which has won seven of its last 10 games. Dominik Hasek made 16 saves.

Mike Sillinger, Jason Blake and Shawn Bates all scored for the Islanders. Rick DiPietro blocked 31 shots in defeat.

The Red Wings scored three goals in the final period to tie the game.
