VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Jan. 29 (UPI) -- Roberto Luongo
made 38 saves Sunday night as the Vancouver Canucks beat the San Jose Sharks, 3-1.
Taylor Pyatt, Brendan Morrison and Daniel Sedin scored goals and Pyatt had an assist for the Canucks, who broke a two-game losing streak.
Joe Pavelski scored and Evgeni Nabokov made 21 saves on 23 shots for the Sharks, who lost for the second time in their last three games.
Pavelski opened up the scoring when he put back a rebound off a Luongo save at 1:10 of the second period.
The Canucks got the equalizer and the go-ahead goal 2:18 apart later in the second.
Markus Naslund fed Pyatt on the power play and Pyatt scored with 7:29 left in the period. Then Pyatt fed a centering pass to Sedin, who scored with 5:11 left in the second.
Morrison finished the scoring with an empty-net goal as the game wound down.
