NHL: NY Rangers 6, Boston 1

NEW YORK, Jan. 29 (UPI) -- Petr Prucha had two goals and an assist Monday while leading the New York Rangers to a 6-1 victory over the Boston Bruins.

Jed Ortmeyer added three assists and Matt Cullen had a goal and two assists for the Rangers.

New York goalie Henrik Lundqvist stopped 29 of 30 shots.

Boston goalkeeper Tim Thomas allowed three goals on 15 shots before being pulled in favor of Hannu Toivonen, who gave up three goals on 14 shots.

Patrice Bergeron had the lone goal for Boston, which has lost seven of its last nine games.
