COL FB: North 27, South 0

MOBILE, Ala., Jan. 27 (UPI) -- Penn State's Tony Hunt was the MVP, rushing for 38 yards and a touchdown on eight carries Saturday, as the North beat the South, 27-0, in the Senior Bowl.

Ohio Sate's Heisman Trophy winner, Troy Smith, completed just 5-of-15 passes for 52 yards and a TD for the North, which has won three straight Senior Bowls and four of the last five.

Chris Leak of Florida -- who led the Gators to a 41-14 rout of Ohio State in the BCS Championship Game earlier this month -- completed 5-of-9 passes for just 23 yards with a fumble for the South.

University of Texas-El Paso's Jordan Palmer completed 5-of-8 passes for 91 yards. Patrick Willis of Ole Miss led all defenders with 11 tackles, and was named the South's defensive player of the game.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Coach Jon Gruden led the North while the South was led by the San Francisco 49ers' Mike Nolan.
