MEMPHIS, Jan. 27 (UPI) -- Jeremy Hunt scored 21 points Saturday afternoon to help 14th-ranked Memphis escape with a 67-64 victory over Southern Mississippi.

Chris Douglas-Roberts sank two foul shots with six seconds left to provide the winning margin, and USM's Sai'quon Stone missed a potential game-tying three-pointer as time expired.

Douglas-Roberts scored 15 points, Andre Allen had eight points and three rebounds, and Joey Dorsey added seven points and 12 rebounds for the Tigers (17-3, 7-0 C-USA), who ran their winning streak to five games.

Jeremy Wise led the Eagles (13-6, 3-3) with 28 points and three rebounds. Stone was the only other player in double figures with 15 points for the Eagles, who have split their last four games.

Memphis had a 32-25 halftime lead, but needed a 7-2 spurt to close out the win, after a jumper by Wise gave USM a 62-60 edge with 2:12 remaining.
