COL BKB: Arkansas 63, Alabama 57

TUSCALOOSA, Ala., Jan. 27 (UPI) -- Patrick Beverley scored 19 points Saturday afternoon as the Arkansas Razorbacks knocked off the 12th-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide, 63-57.

Sonny Weems scored 16 the Razorbacks (14-7, 3-4 SEC), dominated Alabama in the first half and went on to win their first road game, and hand the Crimson Tide their first home defeat, of the season.

Richard Hendrix scored 28 points for the Crimson Tide (15-5, 2-4). Alabama's outstanding point guard Ronald Steele was plagued by fouls and scored just one point without a field goal before fouling out.

The Razorbacks jumped out to a 31-18 halftime lead and had a 51-27 margin at one point in the second half.
