Garnett was suspended for throwing the ball at Detroit's Antonio McDyess in the fourth quarter of Friday's game. McDyess had knocked down Minnesota's Mark Madsen and Garnett threw the ball and appeared to try to hit the Pistons' player.

Garnett, a nine-time All-Star, leads the Timberwolves in scoring with a 22.2-point-per-game average and 12.8 rebounds a game.
