Browns choose Chudzinski for offense

CLEVELAND, Jan. 20 (UPI) -- Rob Chudzinski, on the Cleveland coaching staff two seasons ago, has been hired as the Browns' offensive coordinator.

Chudzinski replaces Jeff Davidson, who took over the play calling on offense after Maurice Carthon resigned six games into the campaign.

Chudzinski served as tight ends coach for the San Diego Chargers the past two years. He was with the Browns in 2004 coaching the tight ends and taking over the play-calling duties the final five games of the season under interim Coach Terry Robiskie.

Chudzinski also served as the offensive coordinator and tight ends coach at the University of Miami from 2001-03. During his tenure with the Hurricanes, current Cleveland tight end Kellen Winslow was an All-American selection.
