NHL: NY Rangers 3, Boston 1

NEW YORK, Jan. 13 (UPI) -- Michael Nylander had a goal and an assist and Henrik Lundqvist had 24 saves Saturday as the New York Rangers beat the Boston Bruins, 3-1.

Nylander extended his point-streak to seven games and his assist gave him 400 for his career.

Martin Straka scored his 24th goal of the year while Jed Ortmeyer scored his first of the season on a penalty shot in the third period for the Rangers.

Marc Savard scored the lone goal for Boston and Tim Thomas had with 35 saves for the Bruins, who have dropped six of their last seven games.
