Nikolai Khabibulin saw just 17 shots for the entire game and stopped only 13 of them. The Chicago goals came from Patrick Sharp and Peter Bondra.

After Sharp gave Chicago the early lead, it took just 18 seconds for Roenick to tie the game by scoring on a goal-mouth scramble.

A wrist shot by Zigomanis put Phoenix in front for good.
