CALGARY, Alberta, Jan. 7 (UPI) -- Dustin Boyd scored with 2:17 left to break a 2-2 tie Saturday night, as the Calgary Flames beat Dallas, 4-2.
Boyd's goal but Calgary up, 3-2, and Alex Tanguay scored an empty-net goal in the final minute to wrap up the scoring.
Boyd scored when he picked up a rebound off a shot by Andrew Ference and put the puck past Dallas goalie Marty Turco.
Tanguay also had two assists, while Byron Ritchie scored the other two goals for the Flames, who won for the fourth time in their last five games. Miikka Kiprusoff made 31 saves.
Darryl Sydor and Jere Lehtinen scored and Turco surrendered three goals on 20 shots for the Stars, who lost for the third time in their last four games.
Calgary played without Jarome Iginla -- its captain and leading scorer -- who is out for at least a week with a sprained MCL in his left knee.
