BATON ROUGE, La., Jan. 6 (UPI) -- Tasmin Mitchell scored 16 points and pulled down 10 rebounds Saturday night as 19th-ranked LSU won its fifth straight game, 66-49, over No. 14 Connecticut.

The Tigers improved to 11-3. Glen Davis added 16 for LSU and Garrett Temple had 14.

Jerome Dyson was the only Connecticut player in double figures with 12. The Huskies fell to 12-2, with both losses coming in their last three games.

LSU overcame an early nine-point deficit to take a 30-28 lead at halftime.
