BATON ROUGE, La., Jan. 6 (UPI) -- Tasmin Mitchell had 16 points and 10 rebounds Saturday as the 19th-ranked LSU Tigers defeated the 14th-ranked Connecticut Huskies, 66-49.

Glen Davis also scored 16 points and had eight rebounds for the Tigers (11-3), who have won five straight games. Garrett Temple added 14 points and seven rebounds.

Jerome Dyson led Connecticut in scoring with only 12 points. None of his teamates were in double figures as the Huskies (12-2) have lost two of their last three games.

UConn hit only 32 percent from the floor.
