NHL: Los Angeles 3, Columbus 0

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 4 (UPI) -- Mathieu Garon notched his second shutout of the season, stopping 26 shots, as the Los Angeles Kings downed the Columbus Blue Jackets, 3-0, Wednesday.

The Kings stopped a two-game slide, also helped by Lubomir Visnovsky, who scored a goal and an assist, and Michael Cammalleri and Sean Avery, who each scored a goal.

Fredrik Norrena made 29 saves in the loss for the Blue Jackets, who have lost three of their last four games.
