"Bernard can play both guard and forward, is a good defender and will add athleticism and depth off our bench," New Jersey President Rod Thorn said Wednesday.

McInnis has been inactive this season because of a knee injury the same problem that caused him to miss 48 games last season. In 28 games before the injury last year with New Jersey, McInnis averaged 5.3 points and 1.9 assists a game.
