DENVER, Jan. 3 (UPI) -- Denver police have issued an all-points bulletin on a Chevrolet Tahoe they have linked to the killing of Denver Broncos cornerback Darrent Williams.
The white 1998 Chevrolet SUV is registered to Brian Hicks, who is currently in jail on charges linked to another shooting, and may be connected to the fatal New Year's Day shooting of Williams outside a Denver nightclub, the Denver Post reported.
Williams, 24, was killed in a stretch Hummer limousine by someone in a white SUV that matches the description of Hicks' vehicle.
In addition to posting the bulletin for the Chevrolet Tahoe, license plate 665-OBS, Denver police have urged anyone who locates the vehicle to use caution while approaching it.
The bulletin marks the most recent development in the investigation, that has included a $2,000 reward for information pertinent to the case.
"We're progressing with the case," Denver police spokesman Sonny Jackson told the newspaper. "We're getting tips all the time."
