NBA: Golden State 97, New Orleans 89

OKLAHOMA CITY, Jan. 2 (UPI) -- Baron Davis and Matt Barnes each scored 29 points Tuesday as the Golden State Warriors defeated the New Orleans Hornets, 97-89.

Davis also had seven rebounds and seven assists and Barnes had 11 rebounds.

Golden State ended an 11-game losing skid against the Hornets.

Rasual Butler had 30 points and six rebounds for the Hornets, who have lost eight of their last 10 games.

Jannero Pargo added 24 points and eight assists.
