COL FB: Miami (Fla.) 21, Nevada 20

BOISE, Idaho, Jan. 1 (UPI) -- Kirby Freeman went 11-for-19 passing for 272 yards and two TDs Sunday as Miami (Fla.) beat Nevada, 21-20, in the MPC Computers Bowl.

Freeman also ran for a TD for the Hurricanes (7-6), who won back-to-back games to finish the season and gave Larry Coker a victory in his last game as Hurricanes' head coach.

Sam Shields picked up 101 yards and a touchdown on four receptions. Ryan Moore caught two passes for 96 yards and a TD, and Javarris James gained 42 yards on 18 carries.

Jeff Rowe was 19-of-30 passing for 203 yards and a touchdown for the Wolf Pack (8-5), who lost two straight at the end of their season.

Robert Hubbard had six catches for 60 yards and gained 59 yards on 20 rushes. Marko Mitchell had just one catch, but it went for a touchdown, and Brett Jaekle kicked four field goals on four attempts.
