
ST. PAUL, Minn., Dec. 31 (UPI) -- Mark Parrish scored the game-winning goal late in the third period Sunday to give the Minnesota Wild a 4-3 victory over the Anaheim Ducks.
Pierre-Marc Bouchard scored a pair of goals for the Wild. Brian Rolston had a goal and an assist, and Kurtis Foster added a pair of assists, while Manny Fernandez blocked 27-of-30 shots.
Teemu Selanne had two goals and an assist for the Ducks, who have lost three of their last four games. Scott Niedermayer added a goal and two assists.
Michael Wall stopped 25 shots for the Ducks. Jean-Sebastien Giguere, the team's normal starter, missed the game after suffering a groin strain Tuesday in a victory at San Jose.
Regular backup Ilya Bryzgalov has been sidelined nearly a month, leaving Wall as the team's emergency starter.
