Tommie Harris' wife dies

CALGARY, Alberta, Dec. 31 (UPI) -- Jerome Iginla had a goal and two assists Sunday to lead the Calgary Flames to a 4-2 victory over the Edmonton Oilers.
Miikka Kiprusoff made 22 saves for the Flames, who never trailed. Calgary moved into a first-place tie with the Minnesota Wild in the Northwest Division with 42 points.
Ryan Smyth scored both of the goals for the Oilers, who have dropped four in a row and 10 of their last 12 games.
The Flames got a quick start, led by Iginla, who scored the first goal of the game just 5:48 in. He then assisted on the next two goals -- setting up Daymond Langkow with 10:55 left in the first period, and then assisting on Dion Phaneuf's power-play goal 49 seconds into the second.
