MINNEAPOLIS, Dec. 31 (UPI) -- Steven Jackson rushed for 142 yards and four touchdowns Sunday as the St. Louis Rams routed Minnesota, 41-21.

The Rams had already been eliminated from the playoffs, because of the New York Giants' 34-28 win over Washington Saturday night.

Jackson ran for three scores and scored once on a shovel pass for the Rams (8-8), who finished their season with three consecutive wins. Marc Bulger went 19-of-30 passing for 248 yards and a TD, while Torry Holt caught nine passes for 90 yards.

Rookie Tarvaris Jackson was 20-of-34 passing for 213 yards, with a touchdown and two interceptions in his second career start for the Vikings (6-10), who lost eight of their last 10 games in the 2006 season. Jackson also gained 34 yards and scored a touchdown rushing.
