NBA: San Antonio 95, Atlanta 81

SAN ANTONIO, Dec. 31 (UPI) -- Tony Parker had 27 points Sunday as the San Antonio Spurs defeated the Atlanta Hawks, 95-81.

Manu Ginobili scored 18 points and Tim Duncan had 17 points and 11 rebounds for the Spurs, who have won 12 of their last 15 games.

Joe Johnson led Atlanta with 23 points and Josh Childress added 19 points and 10 rebounds. The Hawks have lost seven in a row.

Atlanta led, 23-20, after the first period, and an 8-2 run extended that lead to 31-24 with 9:15 left in the second.

The Spurs came back to build a 42-39 halftime lead, and an 11-3 run to start the third gave the Spurs a 53-42 advantage.
