COL BKB: UCLA 96, Washington 74

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 31 (UPI) -- Arron Afflalo scored 27 points Sunday as the top-ranked UCLA Bruins whipped the 13th-ranked Washington Huskies, 96-74.

Afflalo also had five rebounds and eight assists. Darren Collison had 15 points and 12 rebounds for the unbeaten Bruins (13-0).

Freshman center Spencer Hawes scored 21 points for the Huskies (10-3), who have lost two in a row following a three-game winning streak. Jon Brockman added 13 points.

The Bruins jumped out to an early 13-2 lead and never looked back.
