NHL: Dallas 3, Edmonton 2

DALLAS, Dec. 24 (UPI) -- Philippe Boucher scored the game-winning goal Saturday night as Dallas beat the Edmonton Oilers, 3-2.

His goal at 7:58 of the second period gave Dallas a 3-0 lead, which was enough to withstand a late Edmonton surge.

Jon Klemm scored to make it 1-0 in the first period; Jere Lehtinen also scored once in the second; Klemm also had an assist; Eric Lindros had two assists; and Marty Turco stopped 20 of 22 Edmonton shots for the Stars, who have split their last four games.

Marc-Andre Bergeron and Joffrey Lupul scored power play goals; Shawn Horcoff had two assists; and Dwayne Roloson was beaten three times on 26 shots for the Oilers, who have dropped three of their last four games.

On the power play, Edmonton was 2-for-3; and Dallas was 0-for-6.
