PITTSBURGH, Dec. 23 (UPI) -- Sam Young scored 18 points Saturday night to lead the seventh-ranked Pittsburgh Panthers to an 84-54 romp over the Dayton Flyers.
Levance Fields added 16 points for the Panthers (11-2). Aaron Gray had 15 rebounds for Pittsburgh, which avoided its first three-game losing streak under Coach Jamie Dixon.

Brian Roberts had 21 points to lead the Flyers (10-2), who had an eight-game winning streak halted.
The game was tied at 16-16 after Dayton's Brian Roberts sank a three-pointer with 11:06 remaining in the first half. But the Panthers then went on a 23-6 run and led 41-26 at halftime.
