NEW YORK, Dec. 22 (UPI) -- Sixth-ranked Duke overcame a stiff challenge Thursday night and topped No. 24 Gonzaga, 61-54.

Greg Paulus had a career-high 20 points, three rebounds and four assists for the Blue Devils (11-1), who stretched their winning streak to seven games in a row after a 21-20 halftime deficit.

Jon Scheyer had 14 points and four rebounds; while Josh McRoberts added 11 points and 11 rebounds for Duke, which has not lost since a 73-62 setback against Marquette on No. 21.

Jeremy Pargo had 21 points and nine rebounds for the Bulldogs (9-4), who have lost their last two games.

Josh Heytvelt scored 10 points; while scoring leader Derek Raivio was held to just four points.

Despite the loss, Gonzaga out-shot Duke, 38 percent to 34 percent.

Duke had a slim 26-23 advantage in rebounding, and committed only five turnovers to nine for the Bulldogs.
