
OTTAWA, Dec. 21 (UPI) -- Tampa Bay scored three times in the third period Thursday night to rally to beat the Ottawa Senators, 4-2.
Paul Ranger's goal at 8:53 of the period was the game-winner after Ruslan Fedotenko scored at 3:30 of the period to tie the score at 2-2.
Vincent Lecavalier scored his 20th goal of the season into an empty net to cap the run.
He and Ranger also had an assist each; and Marc Denis gave up two goals on 18 shots for the Lightning, who have won two straight following a four-game losing streak.
Dany Heatley and Antoine Vermette each scored one goal; while Ray Emery gave up three goals on 29 shots for the Senators, who have lost three of their last four games.
On the power play, Ottawa was 1-for-3; and Tampa Bay was 0-for-7.
