HARTFORD, Conn., Dec. 20 (UPI) -- Unbeaten Connecticut took charge in the second half Wednesday night and beat Pepperdine, 88-66.
The 11th-ranked Huskies had only a 40-36 lead at halftime.
Four starters scored in double figure as Connecticut rose to 11-0 for the season.
A.J. Price totaled 17 points, five rebounds, four assists, and two steals; Jeff Adrien had 16 points and four rebounds; Hasheem Thabeet had 15 points and seven rebounds; Doug Wiggins scored 11 points; while Jerome Dyson had nine points, five rebounds and two steals for UConn, which used a 18-0 run to grab a 71-53 lead with 6:49 to play to seize control.
The Huskies' biggest lead was the final score.
Tomas Pranciliauskas scored 22 points for the Waves (3-10), who have dropped four of the last five games.
Kingsley Costain had 14 points, three assists and two steals; and Chase Griffin had 12 points and five rebounds.
