COL BKB: Duke 79, Kent State 72

DURHAM, N.C., Dec. 19 (UPI) -- Josh McRoberts had 19 points, six rebounds and six blocks Tuesday as the sixth-ranked Duke Blue Devils posted a 79-72 victory over Ohio's Kent State.

DeMarcus Nelson added 18 points and Jon Scheyer 17 for the Blue Devils (10-1), who have won sixth straight.

Omni Smith paced the Golden Flashes (5-4) with 33 points but he made 10 turnovers. Kent State lost for the third time in its last four games.

Duke was behind by three points, 55-52, with just over 10 minutes left. But, the Blue Devils went on a 15-2 run and led 67-57 with 5:04 remaining.
