
GLENDALE, Ariz., Dec. 17 (UPI) -- Jay Cutler passed for two touchdowns and 261 yards Sunday as the Denver Broncos beat Arizona, 37-20.
Cutler threw a 54-yard touchdown pass to Javon Walker in the first quarter, and Jason Elam booted three field goals to give Denver a 16-10 halftime lead. His second scoring pass was for 10 yards to Rod Smith, upping Denver's lead to 23-10.
Cutler completed 21 of 31 passes for 261 yards, the two scores and one interception.
Mike Bell scored twice and gained 61 yards on 16 carries, and Walker caught five passes for 84 yards as the Broncos (8-6) broke a four-game losing streak.
Edgerrin James scored a touchdown and gained 63 yards on 14 carries, and Matt Leinart went 20-for-35 for 214 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions for the Cardinals (4-10), who have split their last four games.
Denver averted what would have been its first five-game losing streak since 1990.
