COL BKB: LSU 60, Oregon State 53

CORVALLIS, Ore., Dec. 17 (UPI) -- Glen Davis had 22 points and 13 rebounds Sunday as 15th-ranked LSU squandered a 16-point second half lead but held on to beat Oregon State, 60-53.

The Tigers (6-2) held a slim 25-20 halftime advantage, but started to pull away in the second half -- before the lead dwindled to 53-50 with just 2:40 left in the contest.

Garrett Temple totaled 17 points, two rebounds, two assists and two steals; and Tasmin Mitchell added 11 points and five rebounds for LSU.

The Tigers shot just 39.6 from the floor, and committed 14 turnovers -- allowing Oregon State to stay within shouting distance.

Josh Tarver had 13 points and four assists for the Beavers (6-5), who have split their last four games.

Marcel Jones had 12 points and seven rebounds, while Jack McGillis scored 11 points for Oregon State, which was held to just 32.8 percent shooting.
