COL BKB: Memphis 88, Austin Peay 63

MEMPHIS, Dec. 15 (UPI) -- Chris Douglas-Roberts scored 28 points on 10-of-12 shooting from the floor Thursday night as No. 19 Memphis routed Austin Peay, 88-63.

Douglas-Roberts hit 8-of-10 from the free-throw line and had five assists for the Tigers (8-2), who have won six games without a loss at home this season. Jeremy Hunt, Doneal Mack and Kareem Cooper scored 11 points apiece for Memphis.

Derek Wright led Austin Peay with 18 points. Fernandez Lockett scored 12 for the Governors (3-5), who lost for the second time in their last five games.

Memphis got off to a running start, scoring 12 unanswered points -- eight of them by Robert Dozier. Lockett put Austin Peay on the board with a slam dunk, but Memphis went on another scoring binge -- running the lead to 22-2.

Memphis was in control the rest of the way, shooting 62 percent from the floor, while Austin Peay hit on just 35 percent of its shots from the floor.
