Tiki Barber gained 112 yards on 20 carries; and Jay Feeley kicked two field goals for the Giants (7-6), who are locked in a three-way tie with Atlanta and Philadelphia for the two NFC Wild Card spots.

Barber eclipsed the 10,000-yard mark for his career.

Chris Weinke threw for one touchdown on 34-for-61 passing for club-record 423 yards, but three interceptions; Drew Carter scored once on eight catches for 144 yards; and DeShaun Foster was limited to 23 yards on eight carries for the Panthers (6-7), whose playoff hopes were severely damaged by their third straight loss.

The Giants are at home to 7-6 Philadelphia next Sunday in a key NFC matchup at the Meadowlands.
