NFL: Buffalo 31, N.Y. Jets 13

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., Dec. 10 (UPI) -- Willis McGahee rushed for one touchdown and 125 yards Sunday as the Buffalo Bills trounced the New York Jets, 31-13.

McGahee carried the ball 16 times and overcame an upset stomach as the much-improved Bills won for the third time in their last four games.

Quarterback J.P. Losman threw for two touchdowns and 157 yards on 10-of-15 passing, while Robert Royal and Lee Evans both caught touchdown passes for the Bills.

Buffalo had a 21-13 halftime advantage and held the Jets scoreless in the second half.

Chad Pennington was 22-for-35 for 182 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions for New York. Leon Washington gained 55 yards on seven carries, and Laveranues Coles scored once on four receptions for 67 yards for the Jets, who had won their previous two games.

With the loss, the Jets fell one game behind both Jacksonville and Cincinnati in the race for an AFC wild-card berth.
