NHL: Anaheim 4, Tampa Bay 3

TAMPA, Fla., Dec. 9 (UPI) -- Two goals by Dustin Penner Saturday night helped the Anaheim Ducks beat Tampa Bay, 4-3.

Penner scored in each of the first two periods to help stake the Ducks to a 3-2 lead at the second intermission.

Chris Kunitz and Teemu Selanne each had a goal and an assist, and Jean-Sebastien Giguere made 24 saves on 27 shots for the Ducks, who have won eight of their last nine games.

Kunitz scored what proved to be the game-winning goal in the third period.

Eric Perrin, Ruslan Fedotenko and Brad Richards scored goals, and Martin St. Louis had two assists for Tampa Bay. Marc Denis allowed four goals on 25 shots for the Lightning, who have dropped five of their last six games.

On the power play, the Ducks were 1-for-2, and Tampa Bay went 0-for-5.
