COL BKB: UCLA 65, Texas A&M 62

ANAHEIM, Calif., Dec. 9 (UPI) -- Josh Shipp scored 18 points Saturday as the top-ranked UCLA Bruins edged the sixth-ranked Texas A&M Aggies, 65-62, in the John Wooden Classic.

Darren Collison added 15 points and Arron Afflalo 13 for the Bruins (8-0).

Acie Law IV led the Aggies (7-2) with 21 points, while Dominique Kirk had 12.

Texas A&M won its first seven games, but has dropped back-to-back games to ranked opponents. The Aggies were beaten by 11th-ranked LSU Tuesday.

The Aggies went nearly four minutes without a basket down the stretch.
