LOS ANGELES, Dec. 8 (UPI) -- Chris Mason made 20 saves Thursday night as the Nashville Predators beat the Kings, 4-1, and broke a three-game losing streak.
Martin Erat finished with three assists and Scott Hartnell scored a goal the Predators.
Alexander Frolov scored a goal and Dan Cloutier had 23 saves for the Kings, who lost for the third time in their last four games.
After a scoreless first period, Nashville got busy in the second -- scoring three goals.
Hartnell scored on the power play on a feed from Erat at 6:46. Jerred Smithson scored a shorthanded goal at 10:51, and Kimmo Timonen scored Nashville's third goal with 5:43 left in the second.
Frolov got the Kings on the board at 3:40 of the third when he tipped a rebound of his own shot into the net.
Nashville made it 4-1 on Alexander Radulov's goal at 7:57 of the third.
