PHILADELPHIA, Dec. 8 (UPI) -- Veteran guard Allen Iverson of Philadelphia will miss two games because of recent conduct issues.

He was sent home before Friday night's home game against Washington.

"Because he didn't play in the fourth quarter in Wednesday's game in Chicago, he didn't practice yesterday, and he didn't go through shoot-around today, I made the decision to take him out," Coach Maurice Cheeks told reporters before the contest.

Iverson, who is in his 10th NBA season after an all-America college career at Georgetown, has said more than once this season that he wants to be traded.

In 15 games, he has per game averages of 31.2 points, 7.3 assists and 2.7 rebounds.

His career scoring average is 28.1 points per contest.
